AHAP Staff Challenge: Infection control

When hands are contaminated or visibly dirty, select which of the following statements is true:

1. Hands should be washed with either antimicrobial soap or non-antimicrobial soap and water

    

2. Hands should be washed with antimicrobial soap

    

3. Hands may be washed with non-antimicrobial soap as long as an alcohol-based hand rub is used as a finishing rinse
