OSHA's new walkaround rule: What hospital compliance officials need to know

OSHA has finalized a rule amending the Representatives of Employers and Employees regulation. This amendment clarifies that during OSHA inspections, employee representatives may include third-party individuals who are not employees of the employer. Such third-party representatives can accompany the OSHA compliance safety and health officer (CSHO) during inspections when deemed reasonably necessary by the CSHO due to their relevant knowledge, skills, or experience.
