The federal government this fall will cut Medicare payments for hospitals that have the worst rates of hospital-acquired infections and patient injuries.
Hospitals should have processes in place that continually monitor for specific types of events, thoroughly investigating each occurrence and properly reporting those events. Name at least six of the required types of events.
