Palomar Medical Center, a $1 billion, 288 single-bed room hospital just opened its doors to its first patients two weeks ago, and possesses technology such as automatic flowing water when entering a patient room to cue hand-washing, infection zappers, wireless vital sign monitoring, and advanced privacy accommodations.
